Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of duties and will see you involved in:
  • Directing large, complex, multidisciplinary energy infrastructure projects and programs from pursuit through project completion.
  • Establishing project governance, execution strategies, delivery plans, risk management frameworks, and project controls appropriate to project scale and complexity.
  • Providing senior oversight of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Leading integrated teams across engineering, environmental, advisory, permitting, procurement, construction management, and digital disciplines.
  • Serving as senior client-facing leader for energy developers, utilities, operators, transmission owners, infrastructure investors, industrial clients, and delivery partners.
  • Partnering with Account Managers, Client Service Leaders, Sector Leaders, and regional leadership to support strategic account growth, cross-selling, capture planning, and client expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborating across GHD's Energy Market, Oil and Gas Sector, and regional teams to connect delivery capabilities with growth opportunities across integrated energy, midstream, refining, petrochemical, LNG, power delivery, and energy transition clients.
  • Supporting opportunity shaping, capture planning, proposal development, contract strategy, and client presentations for priority pursuits.
  • Managing project risks, deviations, change management, client issues, and escalation pathways to support discipline, no-surprises delivery.
  • Reviewing project performance, forecasts, commercial position, and recovery plans with Project Managers and business leadership.
  • Mentoring Project Managers and technical leaders while helping build a culture of accountability, collaboration, health and safety, quality, and client service.
  • Connecting clients with the broader capabilities of GHD across engineering, environmental, permitting, advisory, digital, Program Management, and Owner's Engineer services, including opportunities for higher-value advisory and delivery engagements.
  • Maintaining continuity from business development through delivery by ensuring project commitments are understood, resourced, managed, and delivered successfully.
  • Contributing market intelligence and practical delivery insight to support growth of GHD's Energy business in Houston and across North America.

What you bring to the team:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Science, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience delivering major energy, utility, oil and gas, pipeline, industrial, or infrastructure projects, programs, or portfolios.
