This person will be responsible for leading the development of construction documents, consultant coordination, code review, and technical quality control on multiple simultaneous projects. Experience with municipal, multi-family, educational and workplace architecture is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Design & Documentation: Develop, refine, and review architectural designs, schematics, and fully coordinated construction documents
- Team & Consultant Leadership: Manage internal design teams and coordinate with external consultants (structural, civil, MEP)
- Compliance & Permitting: Research and apply local building codes, zoning bylaws, and accessibility regulations to ensure permit-readiness and legal compliance.
- Client Relations: Collaborate with the client to define project goals, present design options, and manage expectations throughout the project's lifecycle.
- Construction Administration: Review submittals, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), issue change orders, and conduct regular site visits to ensure the built work aligns with the design intent
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years experience
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit required
- Degree in Architecture
- Architectural license or in process
- Experience with Adobe Creative suite preferred; familiarity with Bluebeam and project scheduling software (e.g., Monograph) a plus
- Experience in the management, production and/or coordination of a wide range of commercial projects required.
