Dewberry's Architecture Team is looking for a passionate and experienced Project Architect to join our growing team in Richmond, VA. In this role, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, including Federal, State, and Local Government, Community Facilities, Civic, and Justice building types. Responsibilities

You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to transform ideas into successful projects, applying your technical expertise to develop innovative, well-coordinated design solutions while preserving the project's vision and intent. We're seeking someone who is passionate about architecture, brings fresh ideas to the table, and is committed to delivering high-quality results.

In this role, you'll:

  • Partner with clients to understand their needs and guide projects to successful outcomes.
  • Lead the development and coordination of construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Balance technical excellence, design quality, and project requirements to deliver exceptional work.
  • Take ownership of projects and project components, confidently moving them forward with minimal direction.

Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Professional Architecture degree from an accredited University is required.
  • Licensed Architect required, with ability for reciprocal licensure in additional states.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Collaborative approach to all aspects of the practice.
  • Adept knowledge of local code requirements and ability to efficiently interface with agencies having jurisdiction, as required.
  • A design portfolio demonstrating experience will be required.

 

The projected range for this position is $105,000-$145,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.

 

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
