Full Job Description
About this role:

Can you figure it out and get it done? That is what we are hiring for.

Fuse Integration needs an exceptional early-career professional who can take an objective, close the gaps, learn the tools, organize the chaos, and deliver. We care less about specialized education and experience than about drive, ownership, intelligence, judgment, and follow-through.

You will work in our Project Management Office (PMO) on schedules, data, reporting, tools, and processes that keep complex technical projects moving at Fuse speed. You will learn Microsoft Project, Excel, analytics, AI-enabled workflows, project controls, business operations, contracts, finance, and the mechanics of real program execution.

You do not need to know all of that on day one. You need to be smart enough, disciplined enough, and driven enough to learn it fast.

For the right person, this is a launchpad into project management, business leadership, finance, contracts, operations, program management, or other high-value career paths.

What you'll do:

At Fuse, you will help turn complex project activity into clear information, useful tools, and better decisions. You will support project managers, program managers, and business leaders by connecting schedules, data, reporting mechanisms, and tools to produce organized and actionable insights.

You will:
  • Support project schedules that help teams understand priorities, dependencies, milestones, risks, and progress.
  • Use AI and other modern tools to learn faster, build better work products, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the way the PMO operates.
  • Develop spreadsheets, dashboards, and analytical tools that pull data from multiple sources and process it into visual representations that inform projects and the business.
  • Develop innovative tools, templates, reports, workflows, and processes for project management, project controls, and business analytics.
  • Communicate with people at all levels of the organization to ensure necessary project data is entered, complete, accurate, and useful.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, or opportunities in project information and take initiative to help resolve them.
  • Help turn complex technical and business activity into clear, structured information that leaders and teams can act on.
  • Learn the language and mechanics of project execution, including schedules, baselines, milestones, dependencies, risks, financial data, contracts, deliverables, and customer commitments.

Requirements

We are looking for:

We are looking for a high-potential person more than a finished résumé.

The strongest candidate may not have direct project controls experience yet. They may not have used Microsoft Project professionally. They may not be an advanced Excel user today. That is acceptable if they have the intellect, work ethic, humility, and initiative to learn quickly and become excellent.

The right person will be:
  • Smart, curious, and fast-learning.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to figure things out.
  • Able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people.
  • Willing to ask good questions without needing constant direction.
  • Excited to use modern tools, including AI, to learn, build, automate, analyze, and improve.

Required Qualifications
  • US-only Citizen (no dual citizenships) capable of obtaining a security clearance.
  • In lieu of formal college education, demonstrated accomplishment of two or more long-term goals through dedicated daily work ethic.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, concepts, or domains quickly.
  • Strong organizational habits and personal accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks without losing track of details.
  • Willingness to work in a technical environment and close knowledge gaps proactively.

A college degree in an applicable field satisfies many of the above requirements.

If you are smart, driven, disciplined, and ready to prove yourself but for whatever reason college was not your path, this may be the opportunity to move past that professionally. Show us that you can learn, execute, and deliver.

Preferred, But Not Required

Experience in any of the following areas is helpful, but not necessary:
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
  • Using AI or other modern tools to improve productivity, learning, analysis, or communication.
  • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Supporting teams, leaders, programs, customers, or complex work.
  • Building spreadsheets, dashboards, reports, automations, templates, or analytical tools.

Why This Role Matters

Projects do not succeed just because smart people are doing technical work. They succeed when the right information is visible, schedules are understood, risks are surfaced, actions are tracked, and leaders can make informed decisions.

This role facilitates that structure.

You will help teams see what is happening, what is slipping, what needs attention, and what can be improved. You will help turn raw project activity into organized information and practical insight. Done well, this work makes project managers better, technical teams more effective, and the business more capable.

Career Growth

This is an entry-level role with serious upside.

You will gain practical experience in project management, project controls, scheduling, reporting, business analytics, financial awareness, contracts, customer communication, technical coordination, and business operations.

Those skills can lead to many attractive career paths, including:
  • Project/Program Management
  • Business Operations
  • Business Leadership
  • Finance
  • Contracts
  • Data Analytics
  • Operations Management

We do not expect you to know exactly where your career will go. We do expect you to work hard, learn quickly, and take full advantage of the opportunity.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000

Application Prompt

Before applying, please read A Message to Garcia by Elbert Hubbard.

We are not looking for blind obedience or people who avoid asking important questions. We are looking for people who understand the deeper principle: accept responsibility, navigate ambiguity, learn what is needed, and deliver.

In your application, please include a short response to this prompt:

"Describe a time when you were given an ambiguous task, had to learn something new, and delivered the outcome without step-by-step direction. What did you do, and what was the result?"

If you want to build valuable skills, work around complex technical projects, learn how real programs are executed, and prove that you can take a mission and deliver, we want to hear from you.

Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision
    • Employee coverage is fully funded; a portion of dependents' coverage is funded as well
  • 11 paid Federal Holidays
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
    • Date of hire through second year: 10 days/year (accrued)
    • After two years: unlimited
  • 40 hours of paid sick leave per year
  • 401k with employer matching
  • Annual bonuses
  • Cell phone reimbursement: $100/month
