The Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the USC Keck School of Medicine is seeking a Project Administrator to provide operational, analytical, and project support for Dr. Charles Murry's heart regeneration research. The Murry laboratory studies cardiovascular disease and develops stem cell and tissue engineering approaches to repair the heart.
Working closely with Dr. Murry and the research team, the Project Administrator will translate research objectives into coordinated work plans, organize team activities, and track milestones, deadlines, and deliverables. The role will develop and document operating procedures, coordinate the operational aspects of research protocols, and support data management, quality control, and reporting of study progress and results. We are looking for an organized, resourceful colleague who can turn complex research and operational information into clear presentations, progress reports, and actionable summaries for Dr. Murry. The successful candidate will maintain practical tracking systems, follow through with collaborators, and provide guidance to team members on project procedures and documentation. This position requires sound judgment in managing competing priorities, a willingness to adopt tools that improve research administration, and discretion with unpublished findings and confidential institutional materials.

When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
