Job description
• Manage the adherence to customer quality requirements on programs through quality engineers overseeing the effective implementation of the Program Quality Plan and managing customer product and process audits.
• Reduce quality escapes to the customer.
• Support Customer reviews and resolve customer concerns as needed.
• Maintain and improve organizational compliance with the Quality Management System processes.
• Deploy and maintain regulatory requirements in conjunction with other functions/groups.
• Develop/amend Procedures as required by Program requirements.
• Develop and maintain Quality Performance Metrics.
• Actively participant in Gate/Program Reviews.
• Facilitate Corrective Actions activity to monitor non-conformance levels, overdue corrective actions and improve effectiveness of problem solving.
• Reduce Cost of Quality through reduction of customer/escapes returns (warranty).
• Manage Quality Engineering resources to support Programs, Engineering & Operations activity.
• Coach Quality Engineers to improve quality levels on programs with the use of Quality Engineering tools.
• Deploy Advanced Quality Planning processes through programs (APQP).
• Assist the Director of Quality in conducting monthly management reviews.
• Manage the Material Review Board Process performance in terms of lead time, process efficiency and quality of MRB disposition.

Candidate skills & requirements
• Mechanical engineering / Business background with minimum 3 years of aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Good understanding of GD&T and machining/manufacturing methods.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools: FMEA, CAR, MSA and Control Plans, RCCA, 8D.
• Excellent problem-solving skills / aptitude.
• Strong Six Sigma / Lean and process improvement experience.
• Working knowledge of ISO/AS standards, and SPC.
• Good understanding of aerospace regulatory requirements.
• Must be motivated with high energy level to drive results and possess good negotiation skills.
• Multi-project management experience.
• Presentation, training, technical writing and communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent people management skills.

Salary: $104,600 to $130,700
