Summary

The Program Manager, Health (RN) plays a vital role in the early child development and success of infants, toddlers, preschool children and expectant mothers in the Head Start program by planning, designing and creating innovative, high quality, effective processes of health services delivery. Demonstrating effective case management of the physical and social-emotional needs of children, the Health Services Program leads, advocates, nurtures and sustains an optimal learning environment through early prevention, prompt intervention and evaluation of processes and service outcomes. The program manager acts as a liaison in establishing partnerships among internal and external multidisciplinary agents at local, state and national levels.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, TX Registered Nurse; three (3) years supervisory experience in the health field; experience in an early childhood/ pediatric setting (preferred); experience in conducting outreach activities in health services; experience in coordinating health services for minority and socio-economically disadvantaged families; experience and knowledge in case management; experience in proposal development, data analysis and interpretation of child's health data; experience in planning and conducting professional development varying audiences to include children, parents/ volunteers & staff; experience in coordinating and establishing community partnerships with health agencies; ability to work independently and in a team setting; proficient in English and Spanish, both verbally and written; valid driver's license and proof of insurance; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
