Job Description:Program Manager is a strategic and customer-focused leader responsible for delivering IT services across multiple sites nationwide. This position requires a forward-thinking professional who brings thought leadership, drives modernization, including cloud-focused initiatives, and strengthens the customer mission through proactive engagement and partnership.
The ideal candidate is a change agent with a strong command of enterprise IT operations, including network infrastructure, systems administration, service desk, end-user support, and project delivery. This role oversees a large, multi-disciplinary team operating from several locations across the United States, with program based in the DC Metro area. Outstanding communication skills, a strong customer-service mindset, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to advance the customer mission, with a strong focus on modernization, cloud adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and implement objectives supporting enterprise IT operations in accordance with customer goals, contractual requirements, and company policies.
- Build and maintain strong senior-level customer relationships; serve as the primary point of contact for all program activities.
- Manage and develop personnel while ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of all contractual requirements across multiple IT disciplines.
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise IT services, including network, systems, help desk, end-user support, and project management.
- Oversee multiple projects across geographically dispersed teams, ensuring alignment with mission needs and operational standards.
- Drive performance management, quality control, and continuous service improvement.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, modernization, and improved IT metrics and reporting.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Formulate and enforce work standards, assign schedules, resolve discrepancies, and maintain alignment with organizational procedures and goals. Operate within client guidance, contractual limits, and company policies while ensuring resources-staffing, tools, and facilities-are properly aligned for success.
- Provide technical insight and problem resolution support to teams across all locations.
Requirements
- US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading enterprise IT operations or multi-functional technical teams
- Demonstrated experience engaging senior customers and delivering strategic, mission-focused support
- Proven ability to drive modernization, cloud initiatives, and process improvement
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing teams across multiple locations preferred
- Full-time on-site in Washington, DC
- TS/Q clearance
The likely salary range for this position is $157,250 - $212,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
