Full Job Description
Willdan is seeking a Program Manager in Los Angeles, CA. The Program Manager will play a vital role in the design, planning, and implementation of Willdan's Commercial Direct Install Program aimed at reducing energy consumption. Reporting directly to the Executive Manager, you will be responsible for making key operational decisions to meet program objectives, engaging stakeholders, analyzing data, and monitoring overall program effectiveness. A strong background in managing door-to-door sales teams is preferred, as you will be expected to lead and motivate outreach personnel to achieve high-performance results in the field. This role is critical to driving continuous improvement and ensuring program success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the staff and budget resource requirements, operational expectations, and internal reporting requirements needed to achieve annual goals.
  • Monitoring program tasks, reporting and follow-up on progress and achievements.
  • Communicating directly with field staff and small business customers.
  • Mentoring and motivating field personnel including sales teams to close projects with high value multi-national chains, public agencies, small to medium sized businesses, and non-profits.
  • Organize, schedule, and participate in field site visits, client meetings, and off-site customer meetings as needed.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely input of energy savings data into Willdan's database system.
  • Oversee and manage the relationship between Willdan, the client and the contractor network.
  • Develop tools, processes and procedures to facilitate contractor projects.
  • Track subcontractor progress in relation to budgets, targets and forecasts.
  • Supports/Leads continuous improvement evaluation and recommendations. Ensures operational efficiency, quality customer service, and drives best practices.
  • Ability to recognize inefficiencies in processes and develop solutions.
  • Continuously monitors progress regarding contract goals, budgets and cost-effectiveness, making program tactical changes as needed.
  • Delivers clear and transparent program messaging for both external customer and internal staff.
  • Addresses customer service complaints and feedback; seeks solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Actively mentored by Executive Management Team to continue skill development.
  • Provides clear and effective communication with all customers including team members, stakeholders, cross-functional groups, etc.
  • Engagement in any and all areas critical to program success.

Job Requirements / Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in program management.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to carry out systematic data tracking and reporting processes.
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Budget, expenses, payroll, and/or accounting management experience.
  • Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of Willdan and its clients.
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships, collaborate with internal staff, customers, and contractors.
  • Detail oriented and analytical.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects effectively, with a high degree of accuracy and in a timely manner.
