Full Job Description
Bronx Grove is a building which was developed and is operated by CAMBA Housing Ventures. The project has 323 total numbers of dwelling units; 194 units will be supported by social services. There will be an onsite superintendent. The unit distribution is 97 ESSHI units and 97 NY 15/15. CAMBA, Inc. is the on-site services provider. Sixty-one apartments, 60% of the units in the building, will be master leased by CAMBA and will house chronically homeless single adults and families who, the head of households, are diagnosed with chronic health conditions. The remaining 129 units are occupied by community residents, who may require some services.

What Does the Program Manager Do:
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
  • Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures.
  • Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information.
  • Make recommendations to the appropriate Vice President/Senior Vice President regarding organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Clearly communicate both CAMBA's and funders' policies, requirements, guidelines, and program performance targets to staff.
  • Ensure that all direct and subordinate staff comply with CAMBA's and funders polices and rules.
  • Ensure that any disciplinary action taken regarding staff, is in compliance with CAMBA's disciplinary policy and procedure.
  • Ensure that all goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a monthly/cycle basis.
  • Develop and implement Quality Assurance measures to ensure quality service delivery to clients.
  • Supervise, review and approve staffs' and subordinates' training, vacation and leave requests.
  • Approve staff's travel and expense vouchers.
  • Review and sign time sheets.
  • Prepare performance appraisals for direct reporting staff.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all staff weekly/monthly/quarterly/semester/annual reports.
  • Prepare, review and submit weekly reports and statistical information for both senior management and funder use.
  • Analyze program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements.
  • Communicate with peers on issues related to client progress and best program practices.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings.
  • Confer with the appropriate Vice President/Senior Vice President and/or other CAMBA management/Executive Staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues.
  • Represent CAMBA at funder/outside agency/community meetings as requested.
  • Immediately report to the appropriate Vice President/Senior Vice President any: monitoring visits or funders' events; significant events; any incident that might subject CAMBA to liability.
  • Make hiring and firing recommendations to appropriate Program Managers, Program Directors, Vice Presidents and Chief Administrative Officers in consultation and agreement with Human Resources.
  • Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over time.

Education, Licenses and/or Certifications Required:
  • Master's degree in social work, Psychology or a related field. (A license is not required but recommended of these Master's Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy).

Minimum Experiences and Skills Required:
  • Experience working with the Seriously and Persistently Mentally Ill (SPMI) population, and/or equivalent experience.

Pre and/or Post Employment Requirements:
  • Must be fingerprinted and obtain "Criminal History Check "(CHC) with Justice Center for the Protection of Vulnerable People with Special Needs Ability to maintain fingerprint clearance throughout the duration o employment.
  • As a Mandated Reporter, you must immediately report suspected incidents/cases abuse and neglect to the Vulnerable Persons Central Register (VPCR) Hotline at 1-855-373-2122 and complete a CAMBA Incident Report
  • Flexible hours may be needed occasionally to provide shift coverage until 8 pm.
  • Obtain "Criminal History Checks" (CHC) fingerprinting through the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs (Justice System) and Staff Exclusion List (SEL) clearance.
  • Experience developing and facilitating groups
  • Knowledge of supportive housing services operations


Compensation: $80,000 - 85,000 annually
