Full Job Description
Rocketdyne is seeking a skilled program manager with a strong background in the development and production of EP (Electric Propulsion) components and systems for space applications to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with EP thrusters, feed systems and power processor units and will bring program leadership, communication and cost/schedule management skills. They will ultimately be responsible for leading a team of design and manufacturing engineers, along with support personnel in the development, qualification and/or production of electric propulsion components. This role requires the ability to develop and manage detailed program plans, schedules, financial budgets, brief internal management and customers along with effectively managing and motivating the program team. The role will report to the Director of Electric Propulsion Programs and be based in Redmond, WA.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide leadership of the program's development and manufacturing team in executing the program plan
  • Support budget and schedule planning and statusing, Earned Value Management a plus
  • Present program status briefings/reports to internal management and customers
  • Provide problem solving leadership to program team when issues are encountered
  • Risk and opportunity management


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR in lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of relevant experience


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • An engineering degree - Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace preferred
  • MBA or PMP certification a plus
  • Earned Value Management experience
