POSITION SUMMARY: The Professional Practice Evaluation Specialist supports the organization's patient safety, quality, and peer review processes by coordinating review activities, maintaining records, and ensuring timely communication and follow through related to safety events, professional practice evaluation, and regulatory standards. This role plays a key support function in evaluating safety events and peer review triggers, facilitating committee activity, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. The Professional Practice Evaluation Specialist works collaboratively with medical staff leadership, the Medical Staff Office (MSO), quality, safety, legal, and operational teams to support peer review governance, identify system level safety opportunities, and advance a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate degree
Experience:
2 years of healthcare experience including past participation in quality and safety committee, project work, or responsibility in investigating safety events
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Advanced degree preferred
Experience: Experience with event reporting systems and safety investigations
Licensure/ Certification: Active RN license, current state license in field of study, Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
