Facility Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
The Facility Engineer will focus on surface engineering and planning support for maintaining permanent on and offshore facilities.
This position is located primarily in Anchorage, Alaska and may include travel to the North Slope.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical and financial evaluation of surface facilities scope in support of production;
Supervise and manage the routine upkeep of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems;
Ensure all facility operations follow local building codes, environmental laws, and health and safety regulations;
Develop operational budgets, analyze project costs, and coordinate specialized work with outside contractors and vendors;
Respond to infrastructure crises and pinpoint flaws or risks in existing mechanical setups to avoid downtime;
Identify and develop mitigations for execution threats; identify and capitalize on opportunities and lessons learned; and
Work collaboratively with other functions and disciplines.
Qualification Requirements:
Basic / Required:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States;
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering;
3+ years of facilities experience on the North Slope;
Ability and willingness to travel to Kenai onshore and offshore;
Strong written and verbal communication skills; and
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
5+ years of previous Alaska experience with a demonstrated understanding of operations and surface facilities and infrastructure engineering support;
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-discipline, multi-function project environment with numerous stakeholders;
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement creative, operable, maintainable and technically sound solutions to surface facilities installation;
