About the roleAs a Product Marketing Manager, Defense, you'll drive Applied Intuition's marketing strategy with the global defense industry.
As the marketing lead in a fast-paced, high-performing cross-functional team, you'll partner closely with product managers to define how the defense industry understands and adopts Applied Intuition's technology.
You'll combine a deep understanding of how defense customers evaluate, buy, and deploy technology with extensive knowledge you'll build of Applied Intuition's platform and products. You'll own product positioning and messaging for new and emerging AI-driven product categories, translating complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with program offices and senior defense decision-makers. And you'll build sales enablement that supports the defense pipeline, set marketing objectives and annual marketing calendar, and lead programs that expand Applied Intuition's leadership in global defense.
At Applied Intuition, you will:- Lead and execute defense marketing strategy, combining market and customer insights with deep product knowledge to build programs that advance Applied Intuition's defense pipeline
- Drive product launch marketing, defining positioning, naming, and messaging and leading campaign execution, partnering closely with Product Management to bring new capabilities to market
- Set defense marketing KPIs, define marketing calendar, and manage quarterly budgets
- Brief, guide, and review content developed by editorial and creative teams across campaigns, video, blogs, press, social, and events
- Stay current on defense market trends, customer priorities, and competitor activity to maintain a differentiated brand presence
We're looking for someone who has:- 7-10+ years of product marketing experience in software technology spanning multiple industries, including defense
- US citizenship required to access Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
- Proven ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling marketing narratives
- Effective project management skills and the ability to run multiple workstreams effectively
- Experience shaping brand strategy for a technology-led company, with the ability to connect product marketing to broader brand narratives
- Strong creative judgment and a track record of guiding development of compelling content
- Proven ability to drive execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Clear, effective communication across diverse stakeholders
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
Please reference the job posting's subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $150,000 - $200,000 USD annually.
