About the roleOBM is looking for a Product Manager to own the direction and day-to-day execution of the established
internal platforms our teams and customers depend on. Reporting to the VP of Technology, you'll
connect what the business needs with what our software engineers/developers build, deciding what
matters most, defining what "done" looks like, and making sure each release delivers measurable value.
You'll work alongside software engineers/developers, our UX/UI Designer, our data team, and
stakeholders across the company. As new products and spin-offs take shape, your scope is expected to
grow with them.
What you'll do- Serve as product owner for an established internal platform, quickly building a working knowledge of its users, history, and technical landscape so you can guide its next stage
- Contribute to OBM's long-term product vision while owning the near-term roadmap and the decisions that move it forward
- Uncover customer and business needs through user conversations, stakeholder input, and insights from the data team
- Prioritize the backlog with clear, well-reasoned trade-offs about what to build now, what to defer, and what not to build at all
- Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria, keep them stable once work begins, and share accountability with software engineers/developers for delivering against them
- Partner with the UX/UI Designer to turn business needs into validated concepts before development starts
- Partner with the data team to define success metrics, instrument new features, and analyze results after launch, so roadmap decisions rest on evidence rather than assumptions
- Adjust plans quickly when business priorities change, working with software engineers/developers to re-plan and keeping stakeholders informed along the way
- Communicate product direction, progress, and decisions across the organization in a way that builds trust and alignment
- Spot opportunities for new products and extensions, and help evaluate which ones are worth pursuing
Qualifications- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally on internal tools, enterprise software, or B2B platforms
- A track record of taking ownership of an existing product and improving it in measurable ways
- Strong prioritization judgment and the confidence to say no, with a clear rationale behind it
- Experience writing requirements and acceptance criteria that software engineers/developers find clear and actionable
- A data-driven mindset and experience working with analysts or data teams to define metrics, frame the right questions, and turn findings into product decisions
- Enough technical fluency to discuss architecture, constraints, and trade-offs credibly with software engineers/developers
- Excellent written and verbal communication, from sprint-level detail with the team to high-level updates for leadership
- Adaptability and composure when priorities shift mid-stream
Preferred - Experience in advertising, media, logistics, or another operations-heavy industry
- Background launching a new product from concept to release, in addition to managing established ones
- Experience managing more than one product or helping a product line expand
- Familiarity with agile delivery practices and GitHub
