Product Manager – Property Assessment and Taxation
Aumentum Technologies | Remote (U.S.)

The Opportunity
Aumentum Technologies is seeking a Product Manager to define and deliver core platform capabilities within its enterprise property tax solution. This role is responsible for translating complex business requirements, regulatory mandates, and customer business processes into scalable, high-quality software solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, deep attention to detail, and the ability to design complex arithmetic and rules-based functionality. This individual will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand legislative and business requirements to ensure accurate system behavior across diverse jurisdictions.

This role operates within an Agile/Scrum delivery model and partners closely with engineering, QA, and implementation teams to ensure successful product delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities for assigned functional areas.
  • Collaborate directly with customers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements and business processes.
  • Translate legislation, policy, and jurisdictional rules into clear, implementable product functionality.
  • Author functional designs that define configuration, business rules, and system behavior to ensure solutions are accurate, auditable, and aligned to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct fit analysis to assess customer requirements against existing product capabilities and identify gaps, configuration needs, or enhancement opportunities.
  • Define acceptance criteria and provide ongoing guidance to engineering and QA teams throughout development and testing.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritization, refinement, and sprint planning activities in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Develop and maintain delivery plans, release scope, and timelines, balancing committed backlog against team capacity across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Produce and maintain product documentation, release notes, and internal enablement materials to support delivery, support, and customer-facing teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with customer-facing teams to support implementations and issue resolution.
  • Partner with internal teams to shape and support product demos for prospective customers, ensuring capabilities are communicated clearly and accurately.
  • Support sales and pre-sales efforts by authoring RFP/RFI responses, scoping deliverables, and providing domain-specific input on requirements, timelines, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through sprint reviews, retrospectives, and product feedback loops.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools as a core part of daily work to streamline product workflows, sharpen analysis, and strengthen customer-facing solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or a related role in enterprise software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with experience designing complex calculations or rules-based systems.
  • Ability to interpret legislation, policy, or regulatory requirements and translate them into system functionality.
  • Experience gathering requirements through customer engagement and stakeholder collaboration, supported by strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience authoring functional designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks, including backlog management and sprint planning.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in property tax, financial or other government systems
  • Familiarity with configurable platforms, rules engines, or business process-driven applications
  • Experience working directly with public-sector customers or regulated industries
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, SQL, or reporting and analytics tools
  • Experience in applying AI-enabled tools to improve product workflows, analysis, or customer-facing solutions

Why Join Aumentum

  • Opportunity to support mission-critical solutions for local government agencies
  • Work on complex, high-impact problems involving regulatory systems
  • Remote-first culture with a collaborative and experienced team
