. The Product Manager, with the support of the department head, leads the management and performance of the product portfolio to deliver on the company's strategic and financial objectives. This role serves as the voice of the customer, translating market insights, customer needs, and business requirements into cohesive strategies that drive growth. This role collaborates cross-functionally with product development, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and other key stakeholders to manage the product portfolio effectively and deliver competitive, innovative solutions that meet market and customer needs. The Product Manager balances short-term execution with long-term portfolio and roadmap planning, continuously evaluating portfolio performance and identifying opportunities for improvement, innovation, and growth.

Essential Responsibilities:Portfolio Strategy & Management - Develop and lead the execution of assigned product category strategies, focusing on growth and competitive position, in collaboration with other product managers, and with support from the department head
- Establish strategic short and long-term category objectives to support corporate goals and organizational vision
- Drive the achievement of annual financial goals including sales, gross margin, COGS, market share, pricing, and product mix through close collaboration with the sales team
- Manage product and portfolio lifecycle activities, including new opportunity identification, product enhancements, service improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and rationalization decisions
- Develop, evaluate, and communicate business cases for strategic initiatives and new product opportunities, including ROI analysis, target customer segments, and key milestones
- Lead new product development projects, guide cross-functional teams and manage execution from concept through launch, with each function accountable for its respective deliverables
- Serve as the category subject matter expert, providing market insight and technical guidance to support sales and cross-functional decision making
- Act as the primary liaison between external stakeholders (sales teams, strategic accounts) and internal partners (operations, quality, and other cross-functional teams)
- Utilize established strategy development and stage-gate processes to develop and execute category strategy, including prioritized actions, timelines, and ownership
Analysis & Support - Monitor and analyze customers, market trends, emerging opportunities, technology developments, regulatory changes, and competitive activity to inform product strategy, including potential product enhancements, applications, and installation methods
- Partner with marketing by providing data, technical content, and insights to guide product communications, positioning, messaging, point-of-purchase materials, packaging, sales support tools, literature, demonstrations, instructional materials, and website content
- Develop and maintain competitive value propositions across the portfolio, providing actionable insights to guide pricing decisions and margin optimization
- Support production planning and the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process by providing market insights to optimize product availability and inventory levels
- Communicate directly with customers to address highly technical inquiries and support sales, marketing, and operations teams with product knowledge, training materials, and technical expertise
- Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending workshops and trade shows, building networks, and participating in industry associations

Position Requirements Experience: - 5+ years product management, sales, marketing, or related experience
- Experience in construction fasteners, adhesives, and building materials industry preferred
Education: - Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in product management/marketing/engineering or related technical field
Required Skills/Competencies: - Competent in polyurethane adhesives chemistry and processing
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Hands-on, self-motivated mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and professional growth
- Proficiency with standard business software, including Microsoft Office
- Experience or knowledge of building materials industry, including relevant building codes and technical requirements, is preferred
Travel: - Travel (10-20%) to customers, trade shows, industry meetings, etc.
