Full Job Description
SUMMARY:

Support the product management function of the microoptics products, including the full microoptics portfolio designed and manufactured in Huntsville, AL plant and other microoptics product fabricated worldwide. Support the customer interfaces including the direct and indirect sales team worldwide. Support customers directly as needed to drive global sales and distribution of microoptical products including wafer level microoptics (refractive and diffractive), microoptical subsystems and assemblies, MEMS related products and other emerging products. Support Operations and SBU functions to realize microoptics products as required by customers in the target markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Support and develop the generation of quotations and proposals for Huntsville, AL generated microoptical products
  • Support and coordinate the Huntsville engineering, NPI, and operations in support of proposals and quotations, serve as the technical liaison between the field and the factory.
  • Support the evaluation of new business opportunities (i.e. business case evaluation - both technical/capability review and financial/profitability opportunity)
  • Interface and direct activities with key international L&O sales partners to support the sales and distribution of Microoptics products in APAC, EMEA
  • Support the proposal for R&D development activities in technology (road mapping) and product development in support of L&O SBU directed activities
  • Support L&O and North American marketing activities for markets & applications using microoptical products
  • Support business development strategy for microoptics products
  • From a product management standpoint: Key account development and customer support, including
    • Field and monitor incoming customer contacts for quote and order;
    • Develop quotes and pricing structure;
    • Review and coordinate customer requirements and changes to orders;
    • Review customer purchase orders;
    • Identify and document expectations for products and services;
    • Support global L&O sales team to manage customer expectations;
  • Maintain competitive intelligence in target L&O markets &applications consuming microoptics;
  • Performs all other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4 year Degree in a technical field
  • Min 3 years experience in technical sales and/or marketing
  • PC-proficient with standard tools (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.);
  • Microoptic fabrication and application experience preferred
  • Administrating, organizing, excellent written and verbal communication;
  • Planning, problem solving, data collect/analyzing, prioritizing;
  • US Citizenship or Qualified U.S. Worker
