Location: NYC (on-site in Williamsburg office 3+ days/week)We9re looking for a Product Lead to own the products and systems that enable clinicians to prescribe through Photon.
You9ll own the clinical experience and Rx intake end to end, from embedded prescribing workflows and portals to APIs, EMR integrations, and the underlying systems and vendor integrations that power prescribing, including drug data, benefits, eligibility, and other clinical infrastructure.
You9ll define how we make prescribing through Photon simple, reliable, and intuitive for clinicians while building the tools and abstractions that allow health systems, digital health companies, and enterprise partners to integrate seamlessly with Photon.
This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of product, technology, clinical workflows, and commercial teams, with direct impact on Photon9s growth and expansion.
If you enjoy turning complex, high-stakes clinical workflows and integrations into simple, scalable products, and care deeply about the clinician experience, this role is for you.
Core Responsibilities- Own the clinician experience and Rx intake across Photon, from prescribing through successful handoff into the Photon network
- Set the product strategy and roadmap for Photon9s clinical experience, balancing clinician needs, partner requirements, and the long-term direction of the Photon network
- Define and evolve our prescriber-facing products and clinical API surface, including embedded components, portals, APIs, SDKs, and integration tooling, with an emphasis on consistency, usability, and long-term scalability
- Drive EMR and clinical system integrations, making Photon easy to adopt across a wide range of clinical environments
- Own the underlying product integrations that power prescribing workflows, including drug data, benefits, eligibility, and other third-party clinical infrastructure
- Establish best practices around integration patterns, versioning, documentation, observability, and reliability
- Develop a deep understanding of clinicians and clinical workflows, using that understanding to identify friction and improve the prescribing experience
- Work closely with technology, commercial, customer, and operations teams to translate user and partner needs into clear product priorities
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience building and owning complex technical products, with significant product experience
- Experience building or owning APIs, integrations, developer products, or other technically complex systems
- Strong technical fluency; you9re comfortable working closely with technologists and reasoning about APIs, data models, system design, and architectural tradeoffs
- Track record of turning complex workflows into products that feel simple and intuitive to users
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, develop strong product judgment, and create structure in complex systems
- Strong communication skills across technical, clinical, commercial, and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience building healthcare technology; experience with EMR integrations, e-prescribing, clinical workflows, or healthcare interoperability is strongly preferred
- Comfort working directly with data and technical tooling, including querying systems when needed
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate product development, analysis, prototyping, or day-to-day workflows
