POSITION SUMMARY:The Product Engineer III is a problem-solver, facilitator, change agent, innovator, resource, designer and project manager. Responsible for performing these functions on issues as they are assigned (or arise) in the designated area.

- Responsible for the successful completion projects which are broad in nature including defining project, setting goals, and communicating project to multidisciplinary teams.
- Work from sales requests, customer quote requests, Product Change Requests (PCR's), New Item Releases (NIR's) for cost reduction or functional enhancements.
- Checks drawings developed and drawn by others in the form of PCR's and NIR's.
- Assist manager in determining when samples may need to be fabricated to validate fit/function parameters and/or to send to customer for approval.
- Generate necessary shop drawings and assists, guides and mentors support personnel in design-related matters.
- Work with cross functional teams on cost estimating for quotes or to determine optimum design alternatives.
- Responsible for establishing installation instructions and identify safety-related issues including misuse of product (to ensure appropriate warnings are included).
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
- Ability to work and interact well with others.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS- General industrial and manufacturing engineering functions as necessary.
JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor degree in engineering or another related field. Product design or engineering preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 4 year of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Good written and oral communications.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to develop plans for accomplishing assigned work and set priorities with a propersense of urgency.
- Ability to make timely decisions.
- Average to above average PC Skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of design software and project management software.
