Reports to: Manager, Product Management
Cooperates with: Product Development, Engineering, Accounting, Production, Sales
Primary Responsibility: Responsible for coordinating and managing MIRATECH product development projects.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:- Attend checkpoints, gates, and all relevant weekly meetings for product development projects.
- Schedule and lead product development project meetings as needed and produce meeting minutes/action items as appropriate.
- Ensure the alignment of project plans with overarching product lifecycle strategy.
- Proactively communicate regarding all aspects of project, including scope, schedule, commercial, and technical details.
- Become familiar/conversant with the entire MIRATECH product line and processes.
- Provide regular reports on project status to the appropriate parties.
- Manage scope changes which affect schedule, cost, revenue, etc.
- Work with Product Development, Sales, Engineering, and Production on preparation of project budget and track actual vs. budget costs (with assistance from accounting) through the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential issues at the beginning and throughout of the project lifecycle and work with the appropriate parties (Engineering, Production, Sales, etc.) to resolve before escalations.
- Review technical deliverables from product development projects before release.
- Manage the flow of documents to ensure consistency and timeliness.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors as needed with MIRATECH production team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Windows and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Project).
- Proficient at creating/maintaining Gantt Chart-style project schedules.
- Detail oriented while able to look at the "big picture" of a project and Customer relationship.
- Customer focused.
- Proven ability to manage multiple large to complex projects at a time.
- BS in engineering or a relevant major from an accredited college/university.
- 6-10 years prior project management experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Able to travel up to 20%.
- Positive attitude with a good sense of humor.
