Sinclair Digital is seeking a Product Designer II to join the team!

Major Goals:

Take ownership of assigned product experiences from discovery through implementation and iteration. Build a strong understanding of users, business goals, technology, and product performance. Collaborate with product, engineering, research, analytics, and stakeholders to create thoughtful, accessible solutions. Use Figma, research, data, and approved AI tools such as ChatGPT and Codex to improve design efficiency, quality, and outcomes. Share work early, communicate decisions clearly, and contribute to the growth of the Product Design team.

Key Result Areas:

Visual Design
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of layout, typography, color, visual hierarchy, responsive design, and platform

conventions.
• Creates polished experiences that support Sinclair's brand and meet user, product, and business needs.
• Produces accessible, inclusive designs with enough detail to guide implementation across platforms and screen sizes.

UX Design
• Creates clear information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications.
• Considers the complete journey, including loading, empty, error, success, permission, and edge-case states.
• Uses research, analytics, feedback, and testing to understand problems, support decisions, and validate solutions.

Patterns
• Uses established design-system components and patterns to create consistent, intuitive, and scalable experiences.
• Balances shared patterns with platform conventions and the needs of each product and audience.
• Identifies gaps and helps improve, extend, and document reusable patterns across Sinclair products.

Product Thinking
• Understands the vision, audience, business goals, success measures, and constraints for the assigned product area.
• Connects design decisions to user needs, product objectives, technical feasibility, and measurable outcomes.
• Works with partners to clarify requirements and scope, then uses post-launch data to identify improvements.

• Participates in discovery, exploration, validation, delivery, design QA, and post-launch evaluation.
• Explores multiple approaches, explains key decisions, and independently manages assigned work while

• Uses approved AI tools for appropriate tasks such as research synthesis, ideation, rapid prototyping,

documentation, and quality review.
• Validates AI-assisted work for accuracy, accessibility, brand alignment, bias, and technical feasibility.
• Supports implementation through organized files, clear specifications, developer walkthroughs, collaboration, and design QA.

Toolkit
• Demonstrates strong proficiency in Figma, including components, variables, prototypes, shared libraries, and

developer handoff.
• Uses ChatGPT and approved AI tools to support research, ideation, writing, accessibility reviews, and

documentation.
• Uses Codex and similar tools to build functional prototypes, explore feasibility, strengthen handoff, and support design QA.
• Verifies AI-generated work, maintains ownership of final decisions, and follows company requirements for privacy,

security, intellectual property, and responsible AI use.

• Shares work early and regularly with design, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders.
• Communicates assumptions, unresolved questions, tradeoffs, risks, and next steps.
• Invites constructive feedback, documents important decisions, and keeps partners informed of changes.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $100,425 to $133,900. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
