About the roleWe are looking for a Procurement Manager to support our Sourcing, Purchasing & Receiving function in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this individual contributor role, you will lead indirect procurement and multimodal transportation sourcing across drayage, ocean, cross-border, LCL, air, and 4PL operations. Acting as a direct extension of our customer, you will manage vendor sourcing, quotations, rate cards, procurement proposals, and supplier relationships while ensuring the customer maintains visibility and final approval. Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end procurement of indirect goods and services supporting customer and business operations.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with transportation suppliers across drayage, ocean, cross-border, LCL, air, and 4PL environments.
- Manage the annual drayage and first-mile tender, maintain rate cards, and provide ongoing quotations to the operations team.
- Develop pricing proposals and procurement recommendations for customer review and final approval.
- Review freight audit and payment escalations, validate disputed rates, and determine the appropriate resolution with internal teams and suppliers.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities, support customer projects, and participate in regular procurement check-ins with the customer.
- Monitor vendor performance, contractual compliance, supplier governance, and alignment with internal procurement policies.

- Demonstrated procurement experience, ideally within logistics, supply chain, transportation, or a 4PL environment.
- Experience sourcing transportation services, with drayage and ocean procurement considered the highest-priority areas, followed by cross-border, LCL, and air.
- Ability to manage a procurement portfolio, navigate market conditions, and deliver measurable cost reductions and savings.
- Experience sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing, maintaining rate cards, and preparing customer-facing proposals.
- Understanding of indirect procurement, supplier governance, contract compliance, and freight audit and payment processes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to represent procurement directly with customers.

Work arrangement: Fully onsite, five days per week.
Travel expectations: Minimal travel to Greensboro, North Carolina, generally once or twice per year, based on business needs, budget, and scheduling.
Salary: $100,000 to $115,000 USD annually
The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary and may be adjusted based on market conditions, experience, and location. Final compensation will be discussed directly with the selected candidate(s) in compliance with all applicable laws.
