Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Enterprise Process Design and Improvement team supports critical process development and optimization across all EchoStar brands. The selected engineer tackles operational inefficiencies by designing, testing, and refining modern workflows across diverse business units. By leveraging automation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, this role establishes strategic roadmaps that directly elevate the customer and team member experience. Ultimately, the position serves as a cross-functional agent of change, driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable project results on time.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
  • Design and implement strategic changes to operational processes that measurably improve department KPIs and reduce system inefficiencies
  • Coordinate directly with diverse business units to develop, test, and refine new business practices that align with broader organization OKRs
  • Leverage AI, automation, and data to drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting heightened productivity, quality, and delivery
  • Teach back key findings and lessons learned to cross-functional departments with actionable recommendations for training updates
  • Create a comprehensive roadmap for tools and technology to elevate both the customer journey and inter-departmental operations
  • Use Lean Six Sigma methodologies to detect operational trends, determine root causes, and present clear findings to senior leadership

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):
  • Expertise in BPMN modeling to map out complex processes and document robust job aids, standard operating procedures, and policies
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical abilities to detect operational trends and make sound decisions even with limited data
  • Strong AI literacy and application skills, specifically using effective prompt engineering and AI productivity tools to optimize workflows
  • Exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and change management skills to lead by influence and keep cross-functional stakeholders engaged
  • Excellent communication and presentation capabilities to build a compelling story, develop value propositions, and present to executive levels
  • Proven adaptability and self-driven project management to organize independent work, handle ambiguity, and hit strict deadlines


Additional Qualifications:
  • Six Sigma/Lean certification at a Green Belt level or higher
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or advanced analytical tools


Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 4 years of equivalent experience
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, or cross-functional project management
  • Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 2 years of experience with:
    • BPMN modeling software and process mapping tools
    • Google Suite products
    • AI productivity platforms and prompt engineering

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year
