As a Technical Architect, you are the trusted technical advisor who owns the solution architecture and sets the quality bar for every engagement. You will work at the leading edge of Agentic Systems Engineering, the OutSystems approach to building, orchestrating, and governing enterprise agentic systems on one unified platform, powered by the Enterprise Context Graph and a deep partnership with AWS and Amazon Bedrock. From mission critical applications to governed AI agents handling core business processes, you will design the systems our customers run their businesses on.
Key Responsibilities- Design, size, and validate scalable, enterprise grade solution architectures based on business needs and drivers.
- Architect agentic systems using Agent Workbench and Agentic Enterprise Orchestration, applying guardrails, agent evaluations, and orchestration patterns that make AI safe for mission critical use.
- Translate business requirements into viable, maintainable applications and agents, leveraging the full OutSystems platform.
- Define and review architecture patterns that promote reusability, lifecycle independence, and lower maintenance costs.
- Assess existing applications for performance, architecture, and development quality, and prescribe improvements, including modernization paths for legacy systems.
- Identify non functional requirements, integration needs, and shared standards across the application and agent portfolio.
- Mentor OutSystems, customer, and partner teams on architecture and development best practices.
- Grow the technical capability of the Professional Services team through contributions to technical practices, reference architectures, and speaking engagements.
Principal Technical Architect: $153,000 - $186,300 Base Salary

Qualifications & Requirements - BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of software development experience, including hands-on work in web or mobile application development.
- 4 years in architecture or technical leadership roles, with proven application of architecture patterns in enterprise projects.
- Strong command of architecture design, project delivery practices, and application performance, including the ability to identify, evaluate, and fix performance bottlenecks.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer engagements.
- Hands-on experience designing AI solutions is strongly preferred: LLM based applications, agentic frameworks and protocols such as MCP, RAG, or model orchestration on platforms such as Amazon Bedrock.
- Software development experience in .NET, C#, SQL, and modern web technologies are preferred.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
Security Clearance & Eligibility Requirements- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is strictly required for this position. We cannot sponsor visas or work authorization for this role due to federal government contract restrictions.
- Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Interim Clearance: Ideally, the candidate will be eligible to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance to begin work.
- Background Investigation: You must be willing to submit to a comprehensive federal background investigation (SF-86), which includes a review of your employment history, criminal record, financial/credit history, and foreign travel/contacts.
- Condition of Employment: Obtaining and maintaining this clearance is a core requirement of the job. Continued employment is contingent upon your ability to successfully pass the government's clearance process.
