Are you ready to shape the future of AI-powered customer experience? Amazon Connect is expanding its Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner ecosystem, and we are looking for a Principal Technical Business Development leader to own and drive the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Amazon Connect solutions across ISV and emerging partners in North America.
Amazon Connect delivers a broad array of AI-powered customer experience services, including omni-channel contact center capabilities, intelligent routing, analytics, case management, and customer data profiles. As our ISV partner business grows, this role will be instrumental in building strategic partnerships that help enterprise and commercial customers adopt Amazon Connect as their platform of choice. This is a high-autonomy role where you will define strategy in ambiguous spaces, engage C-level executives at partner organizations, and unlock long-term value for customers and Amazon alike.
Deep knowledge of Amazon Connect and its customer base is essential for success in this role. You should understand how enterprises use Amazon Connect to power their contact centers, be familiar with the product's AI-powered capabilities, and be able to translate that expertise into compelling partner strategies. You will leverage this foundation to identify high-impact partnership opportunities, develop and close complex deals, and influence product direction based on market signals.
Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end GTM strategy for Amazon Connect ISV and emerging partners, defining and executing programs that drive revenue growth and customer adoption across North America.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with senior partner and customer stakeholders up through the C-level, translating business needs into joint solutions and long-term partnership plans.
- Identify, qualify, and close complex business opportunities by leading solution discussions, managing pipeline, and collaborating with Amazon Connect product and engineering teams to align partner capabilities with customer requirements.
- Develop data-driven business reviews and operational planning documents, reporting on program health and using insights to refine strategy and remove blockers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, solutions architecture, and business development teams to execute a consistent coverage model and accelerate partner-driven customer outcomes.
A day in the life
Your morning might start with a call alongside an ISV partner's leadership team, working through a joint go-to-market plan for an upcoming product integration. Later, you review pipeline data and prepare a business review for senior leadership, highlighting trends and recommending where to double down. In the afternoon, you connect with solutions architects to scope a new customer deployment, then wrap up by syncing with product teams on feature requests gathered from recent partner conversations. You will regularly balance partner-facing engagement with internal strategy work, making this a role where both relationship depth and analytical rigor matter every day.
About the team
Our team sits within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is focused on growing the Amazon Connect partner ecosystem at an exciting time. With AI reshaping how businesses engage their customers, we are strengthening our investment in ISV partnerships to bring innovative, AI-powered customer experience solutions to market faster. We work closely with product, engineering, solutions architecture, and field sales teams to ensure our partners and their customers succeed.
We are a collaborative, curious group that values fresh perspectives and creative problem-solving. If you are energized by working at the intersection of technology partnerships and customer impact, and you thrive in a fast-moving environment where your ideas directly influence business direction, this is a team where you can make a meaningful difference.
