Purpose:With-in the Rotating engineering group, provides discipline leadership by directing project execution activities and discipline deliverables for projects, participates in project execution strategy and planning. Knows the project and owns the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, makes certain the team meets expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success. Performs administrative functions including implementation of management policies and procedures, implements the Company and Customers Procedures while seeking improvements to work processes and business approaches to better serve the project needs, supervision of moderate/high sized teams. Develops innovative technical solutions to complex problems.
Responsibilities:The candidate will work within a team framework of other disciplines and will have an understanding of the broad organizational implications of the work being performed. Will be updating schedules and progress reports. Will be required to generate budgets for new work, will be interfacing with Project Management and the Customers regularly. Ensures team members adherence to generally accepted engineering practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. Supports checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
Will be required to develop hour estimation, TIC estimates, deliverable requirements and peronnel loading for the Rotating Engineering scope of the project.
What you will bring Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements: - Will be required to develop/check specifications, data sheets, Technical bids, purchase orders, resolve technical quiries from vendors on various Compressor and Pump equipment, able to coordinate project requirements with other disciplines, project staff and clients. Will be required to maintain quality deliverables through-out the procurement of the equipment. Will be required to support work share activities with overseas offices on Rotating Equipment deliverables.
- Demonstrable commitment to HSE Management in a project Environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work.
- Adopt the Worley principles related to diversity and inclusion.
- Typically, minimum of 12 years of Rotating (Gas turbine/Steam turbine, Compressor and Pump) Engineering experience in Petroleum-Chemical, Oil & Gas Industry, plus 3 years in other Mechanical equipment or packaged equipment, minimum of 3 years in a Mechanical leadership role.
- Relevant professional registration preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Emphasis on reciprocating compressor experience, with working knowledge of API 617, 614, 670 and 671.
- Additional experience in the Power industry, Carbon Capture, or Arctic environment is valued.
- Gas turbine and Steam turbine experience.
Additional Information: - This role is based in the Long Beach or Monrovia CA Worley office locations and not eligible to support remotely.
- May be required to travel to the vendors facilities.
- Salary Range $146,187.00- $214,980.00 commensurate with experience and level of position.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Required: - BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred: - Knowledge of API, ANSI, NEMA, ASTM specifications.
