Full Job Description
ASRC Federal is seeking a Principal Proposal Writer to join our growing Proposal Operations Center. The Principal Proposal Writer provides strategic writing expertise to competitive Federal proposals and helps advance organizational standards for proposal content, processes, and quality.

This remote role requires occasional travel, primarily within the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with additional travel as needed to support onsite bid team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
• Proposal Development and Leadership

o Lead the development of compliant, compelling proposal content for Federal Government solicitations.

o Collaborate with Proposal Managers, Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and SMEs to understand technical and management approaches, identify discriminators, and articulate key themes.

o Develop technical, management, transition, past performance, resume, and staffing sections aligned with solicitation requirements and corporate messaging.

o Coordinate writing assignments across SMEs, subcontractors, and other proposal writers; ensure consistency of voice, clarity, and compliance.

o Conduct interviews with SMEs and translate technical concepts into clear, customer-focused narrative.

o Create annotated outlines and response mockups to guide writing efforts and ensure compliance.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance

o Perform compliance reviews and identify gaps or risks within proposal sections.

o Collaborate across ASRC Federal, subsidiaries, and subcontractors to refine and strengthen content.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required, along with 10+ years of progressive experience in federal proposal writing.
