Full Job Description
About the role:
At UKG, we are building an AI-first suite that inspires organizations to become great places to work through HR, pay, workforce management, and culture technology. We are hiring a Principal Product Manager to build the platform and build the product platform and decide which service categories to develop first of Frontline Worker Network, a UKG-owned network delivering experiences that connect shift and hourly employees with curated services in the flow of work. The Frontline Worker Network is a 0-1 business, with categories being built from the ground up.

You are building a network of products and services, delivered with partners, that improves the quality of life for frontline employees at little to no cost to the employer. You will own category strategy, recommendation logic, and the platform layer that every category runs on.

This is a three-sided network where the workers, employers, and partners need to benefit. You will represent all three at once and be explicit when they conflict. This is a Principal senior individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President of Product, Frontline Worker Network.

Responsibilities to include:
- Own the surface where curated services reach frontline workers, from first release through expansion across categories. Define placement, eligibility, consent, onboarding, and the handoff to the partner, and build it with engineering, architecture, and design.
- Define the logic and standards that determine what a given worker sees and why.
- Own the platform layer every category runs on: eligibility, consent, placement, partner integration, and measurement.
- Determine which categories we pursue and in what order. Work with user research, data, analytics, customer success, partnership, legal, and marketing teams to identify and prioritize categories.
- Ship through surfaces you do not own. Much of this work lands on products other teams run. Build the relationships and shared roadmaps that get it delivered.
- Deliver on business outcomes.
- Set the standard for how problems get framed and how outcomes get measured. Mentor other product managers through example and feedback without formal people management, and use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate analysis and diligence while keeping judgment over the output.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years in product management, including ownership of a 0-1 product, category, or business line taken from concept through launch to revenue
- Experience owning a platform or shared service layer that other product teams built on top of
- Track record of shipping a significant product through a surface or system owned by another organization, without formal authority over it
- Experience with partner, marketplace, or embedded products in which a third party delivers part of the customer experience
- Excellent written communication, with the ability to make a complex recommendation legible to senior executives in a single document

We collaborate and succeed in a hybrid model. 3 days per week in the Lowell office is a requirement.

Preferred Qualifications
- Embedded finance or financial wellness experience, particularly with products delivered through an employer or other trusted intermediary
- Experience building multi-sided networks or marketplaces and managing the competing needs of multiple stakeholder groups
- Experience in regulated or consent-heavy domains, including how consent is obtained and honored, disclosure requirements, and partner compliance review
- Experience building products for deskless, hourly, or mobile-only worker populations
- Consumer-grade mobile products shipped at scale to millions of users with low baseline engagement
- Experience carrying a revenue target for a product line
- Experience establishing an operating model or playbook that other teams went on to run independently
- Technical fluency across APIs, system integration, eligibility logic, and consent design, sufficient to work credibly with engineering and architecture partners
- Experience building personalization, recommendation, or eligibility-based matching into a customer-facing product
- Ability to construct and defend two-sided unit economics, including a partner's acquisition cost, margin, and willingness to pay, without owning the financial model
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving

The pay range for this position is $163,90 to $235,550. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
