Full Job Description
As the Principal Product Manager, Investigations, you will define and drive the AI-forward product strategy for SpyCloud's investigations capabilities. You will enable security teams, fraud analysts, investigators, and threat intelligence professionals to uncover, understand, and act on cybercriminal activity using intelligent, automated, and scalable workflows. Reporting to the Director of Product, Enterprise & Investigations, you will own a strategic product portfolio that transforms complex cybercrime data into AI-powered investigative insights and decision-making tools.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership role requiring close partnership with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Threat Intelligence, Go-to-Market teams, Customer Success, and Sales. You will balance long-term product vision with customer needs, market opportunities, and business priorities while delivering innovative, AI-driven capabilities that help customers investigate threats faster, reduce manual effort, and make more informed security decisions.
What You'll Do:
• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for SpyCloud's AI-powered Investigations product portfolio.
• Identify and drive opportunities to embed AI, machine learning, and automation into investigative workflows.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer investigative workflows, threat intelligence use cases, and evolving cybercrime trends.
• Translate customer problems, market opportunities, and business objectives into clear product requirements and prioritized roadmaps.
• Lead product discovery through customer interviews, usability research, competitive analysis, and market validation, with a focus on AI-enabled solutions.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and Data Science throughout the product development lifecycle to deliver intelligent, high-impact capabilities.
• Define success metrics and leverage product analytics, model performance data, and customer feedback to continuously improve the product.
• Collaborate with SpyCloud Labs and Investigations teams to operationalize SpyCloud's unique cybercrime data, analytics, and AI models into customer-facing capabilities.
• Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering to ensure successful product launches and customer adoption of AI-driven features.
• Serve as the product subject matter expert for investigations and AI capabilities with customers, prospects, analysts, and internal stakeholders.
• Balance customer requests, technical investments, and strategic AI initiatives while making data-driven prioritization decisions.
• Mentor other product managers in AI product strategy, roadmap planning, and modern product management best practices.
• Stay on the leading edge of AI, cybersecurity, fraud, identity, threat intelligence, and digital investigations trends to identify emerging opportunities.
• Be responsible for advancing and maintaining portfolio cohesion across graphical and programmatic (MCP, API, A2A) interfaces.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional Experience:
• 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of enterprise SaaS products.
• 5+ years of cyber threat intelligence experience, using OSINT and darknet data to investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
• Demonstrated experience leading product strategy and roadmap development for complex technical platforms.
• Product launch and evangelism experience in leadership role alongside GTM.
• Experience building products for cybersecurity, fraud prevention, digital identity, threat intelligence, investigations, or adjacent security domains.
• Experience delivering AI/ML-powered products or features, including working with data science teams and model-driven capabilities.
• Proven success partnering with engineering and data science organizations to deliver customer-centric products from concept through launch.
• Experience working directly with enterprise and government customers to understand workflows and validate product direction.
• Strong track record influencing executive stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment without direct authority.
Technical Proficiency:
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, digital investigations, identity intelligence, or threat intelligence platforms is required.
• Experience with cybercrime investigations, digital forensics, fraud operations, or security operations center (SOC) workflows.
• Hands-on experience applying AI or machine learning to investigative, security, or analytics workflows.
• Knowledge of identity security, account takeover, malware ecosystems, credential theft, or criminal underground marketplaces.
• Working knowledge of APIs, MCPs, data platforms, search technologies, analytics, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS architecture and modern software development practices.
• Experience using product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Productboard, Figma, or similar platforms.
• Ability to interpret product analytics, model performance data, and customer usage data to guide investment decisions.

Work Environment:
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, highly collaborative environment.
• Occasional travel for customer meetings, industry events, and internal planning sessions.
Nice to Have:
• Currently holds or is capable of obtaining top secret security clearance from the US federal government
• Strong familiarity with AI/ML technology concepts, including model lifecycle, data pipelines, and evaluation metrics.
• Background working with enterprise security practitioners, fraud teams, or intelligence analysts.
• Experience bringing AI-driven platform capabilities from concept through successful market adoption.
• Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, or AI-assisted user experiences in enterprise products.
Base Salary Range: $162,000 - $210,000
The salary range reflects the expected base compensation for a fully qualified candidate at this level based on experience, qualifications, and market data at the time of posting.
