This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

Blue Origin's Operations organization builds the systems that power our mission to build a road to space. As manufacturing and production capabilities expand across multiple sites, the workforce strategy supporting those teams must scale with equal rigor.

We want a Principal Human Resources Partner to provide strategic advice and operational support to senior leaders within Operations. This role links business strategy, workforce architecture, and organizational performance. It makes sure the organization has the leadership strength, workforce framework, and talent plan required to implement initiatives at scale.

This role functions mainly at the organizational and leadership level, collaborating directly with senior operational leaders. Together, they address sophisticated business challenges related to workforce planning, organizational development, leadership efficiency, and operational performance.

This role requires a working leader who brings both strategic perspective and operational execution. They translate business priorities into workforce solutions and influence across teams.
Role Overview:

As an HR leader, you will collaborate with leaders in manufacturing, supply chain, production, technology, and engineering teams growing quickly to meet mission demands. You will play a key role in crafting how the organization expands-helping leaders manage organizational change, workforce growth, leadership development, and operational workforce plans. This is a high-impact individual contributor position with influence across the business and HR network. The candidate will have extensive experience supporting operational settings and will thrive in fast-paced environments where both speed and good judgment are crucial. This position suits someone motivated by solving complex organizational issues, working closely with leaders, and creating practical workforce solutions that drive operational success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior operations leaders, helping build decisions related to workforce strategy, organizational efficiency, and leadership capability.
  • Lead complex organizational development and workforce transformation efforts, including structural changes, capability development, and scaling of operational teams.
  • Cooperate with leaders to formulate workforce strategies matching operational demand, such as workforce mix, shift scheduling, capacity planning, and talent pipelines.
  • Provide leadership mentorship on organizational health, performance management, and team efficiency, helping leaders build high-accountability, high-performing organizations.
  • Use workforce data and analytics to identify trends, diagnose organizational challenges, and guide strategic talent decisions.
  • Influence cross-functional partners-including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Talent Management, and Employee Relations-to deliver coordinated workforce solutions aligned to operational priorities.
  • Act as a link between HR partner groups, guaranteeing alignment and uniformity in workforce initiatives affecting operations.
  • Navigate complex employee relations matters with a balanced approach that reinforces fairness, accountability, and operational standards.
  • Drive leadership alignment and execution during periods of organizational change, business growth, and operational transformation.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Over 10 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally supporting technology, manufacturing, industrial, or operations client groups.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Expertise across various HR/People channels, including compensation & benefits, compliance, employee relations, and learning and development.
  • Proven ability to perform well in rapidly changing, challenging, performance-focused environments.
  • Clear, empathetic, and effective communicator, adept at adjusting approaches based on audience needs.
  • Strong collaborator and mentor, delivering feedback that cultivate trust and partnership.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Data-driven and diligent, with a strategic approach.
  • U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
