DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a Principal Engineer based out of Huntsville, Alabama for the IBCS Poland Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS). IBCS Poland Integrated Battle Command System is a revolutionary, network enabled command-and control system developed by Northrop Grumman that Poland has deployed to unify its air and missile defense sensors and shooters. IBCS Poland Integrated Battle Command System delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas. By implementing IBCS Poland Integrated Battle Command System into their militaries, the US and other nations are transforming their integrated missile defense capabilities in a consistent manner.
The ideal candidate will have experience in systems engineering lifecycle of missile/weapon system development program(s), functional analysis and systems trade studies for technical solutions with respect to concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance; Reviewing the SOW to generate and present data analysis using the results gathered to support internal and external stakeholder meetings. They will have technical knowledge in one or more of the subsystems of missile/weapon system, e.g., RF/sensors, guidance, command & control systems.
Basic Qualifications:- Principal Systems (Level 3): 5 years with bachelor's degree in science, 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
- Experience in SAFe Agile practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Requirements and Interface definition experience
- C2 System analysis experience
- Active Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical experience with IAMD
- JIRA and Confluence experience
- Cross-team collaboration experience
- Program and production risk experience
- Working knowledge and practical experience in Python
- Experience Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience working across systems engineering, software, cybersecurity, network, and test organizations
- Experience with configuration management, change management and cybersecurity requirements
Primary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
