DescriptionJob Title: Principal Engineer, MLSoC - EmulationJob Location: San Jose, CA (This position requires a full-time, on-site presence in our San Jose, CA office)Job ID: AI2564 Description: As an Emulation Engineer, you will be responsible for bringing up SiMa.ai's MLSoC design on emulation platforms (Zebu/Palladium/Veloce etc..). Your responsibilities would include setting up the emulation environment, compile design, setup runtime environment, and bring up. You will be actively working with the Architecture, RTL design, verification and software teams.
Key Responsibilities: - Set-up emulation environment. This includes:
- Port SoC/IP RTL to the emulation platform.
- Implement emulation set-up with transactors or BFMs.
- Implement emulation sanity tests.
- Enhance/Maintain existing compile scripts
- Bring up external interfaces (e.g., PCIE, Ethernet, and other standard interfaces) on the emulation platforms.
- Develop emulation test case scenarios.
- Run software test cases on emulator and enable different debug options.
- Work with the internal teams to root cause and resolve failures.
- Work with emulator vendors to enable new features and debug tool issues.
- Enable software team usage on emulator.
Minimum Qualifications: - MS in Computer Science/EE with 12+ years of experience on emulation.
- Experience with emulator flow and methodology. Preferably on Synopsys Zebu.
- Working experience in Verilog, SystemVerilog.
- Experience in C/C++, TCL, Python and Perl coding using Agentic AI
- Ability to work with cross functional teams.
- Good Debug, coding and problem solving skills using Agentic AI
- Knowledge of PPA is a plus.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $203,800 - $315,900. The actual annual salary offered will depend on several factors, including - among others - job-related skills, experience, technical expertise, qualifications, work location, and business needs. The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible for private company equity, and a comprehensive package of employee benefits. Please note that the salary ranges listed for U.S. roles reflect base salary only and do not include equity or other forms of compensation.
