DUTIES
Provide design engineering staff augmentation support to Client. Primary responsibilities include engineering analysis, walkdowns, design development and generation of design output documents for the following types of systems/facilities: intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, fiber optic cable, force protection, perimeter security, alarm monitoring, control stations, and entry control facilities.
Engineering services shall be provided using client processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by client.
Define scope of technical programs and develop effective, quality solutions to challenges which involve unique or controversial problems. Creatively meet all company and industry requirements and apply site systems to achieve quality, timely and cost-effective results. Give quality guidance and assistance to less senior professionals on related tasks.
Apply technical experience in field of specialization or broad-based experience in multiple technical fields, to resolve complex problems.
Incorporate advanced technical practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements, application of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination or oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning.
Provide leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area(s) of technical expertise.

Work Hours: Up to a 40-hour work week is scheduled. client utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, five days on week nd four days on week BB. Work week excludes client holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Additional Experience Qualifications
Candidate must demonstrate ten (10) years of recent safeguards and security design experience with an emphasis in physical security design. Experience shall include knowledge of the technical, physical, and operational aspects of standard physical security system components such as sensors, door hardware, cameras, infrared detectors, access control card readers, network switches, fiber optic routers, etc.
Previous client Design Engineering or DOE facility experience is preferred.
Previous experience with the DOE Electronic Safeguards and Security System (E3S) and Argus is preferred.
Proficiency in using MicroStation 2D Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software is preferred.
Candidate must demonstrate knowledge in application of NEC code requirements.
Candidate must have the ability to produce quality documents with attention to detail.
Additional Work Requirements
Candidate must be able to perform field walk-downs of the job site for the engineering work being performed. These walk-downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances over a half mile, climbing ladders to access remote areas, and dressing out in protective clothing.

A justification, travel locations, estimated cost, and dates of travel must be provided prior to procurement approval. client will not reimburse for travel to conferences or trainings. Area Security Access: Clearance "Ǫ"
Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI registration and approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE / NNSA.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Area Security Access: :
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. An active DOE
clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected
candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
