Description

Gray Analytics is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency's GMD Cyber-integrated Pipeline for Enhanced Resilience (CIPHER). This is a future contract.

The engineer will support enterprise network discovery, Zero Trust architecture, network analysis, cybersecurity engineering, and comprehensive network mapping within classified environments.
Responsibilities
• Conduct enterprise network discovery and asset identification.
• Guide development of physical, logical, and data-flow network diagrams
• Create and maintain authoritative network inventories.
• Map trust relationships, identity services, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Analyze routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and segmentation supporting Zero Trust.
• Support Zero Trust Architecture implementation and gap assessments.
• Validate network configurations with Government stakeholders.
• Support RMF, cATO, STIG compliance, and cybersecurity documentation.
• Prepare engineering reports, dependency matrices, and technical documentation.
• Perform passive and log analysis using tools such as Wireshark / tshark, tcpdump, tcpview, Zeek, NetworkMiner, and p0f, Arkime, Security Onion.
• Perform active discovery and enumeration using tools such as: Nmap, arp-scan, and Netdisco, Masscan, and SecureCRT.

Requirements
• BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Experience with OSI Layer networking, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with network documentation.
• Experience working within Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience supporting DoD classified environments.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to travel approximately 15% CONUS with potential OCONUS.
• Security+

• GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform
