JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Principal Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorganChase within Cybersecurity & Technology Controls, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities to identify, communicate, and mitigate risk, and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes. 

Job responsibilities
  • Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state cybersecurity and decisions on improvements to current cybersecurity parameters
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate cybersecurity architecture analysis, threat/risk assessment, and roadmap decisioning, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
  • Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
  • Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks on the public cloud for new system design patterns and process templates, creating durable reusable software frameworks that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert, drives thought leadership within the product line, and contributes to the development of technical methods in cybersecurity in line with the latest product development methodologies
  • Drives reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted security validation within SDLC/toolchain routines, improving control testing and remediation quality with traceability/auditability and resiliency expectations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on cybersecurity architecture and 10+ years applied experience 
  • Hands-on practical experience cybersecurity architecture that has applicability and reusability across business/functions and systems
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support cybersecurity architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to assess and validate AI-assisted security recommendations and AI-enabled design patterns before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring outcomes align to security, resiliency, and auditability expectations.
  • Fluent in one or more programming language(s)
  • Deep knowledge of software and/or applications, including advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development and technical processes within one or more technical disciplines (e.g., public cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.)
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate with senior leaders and executives
  • Advises with business context and maintains knowledge of latest risk trends in internal and external environments
  • Experience leading a product as a product owner or product manager
