About the Team

We develop tools and implement technical controls in support of the platforms and infrastructure used in the Workday product. We deliver security services, tools, and automated controls across the various platforms in Workday’s production infrastructure. Our team provides guidance and helps to improve our infrastructure security. The most valuable contributions you will make are those that address common security issues systematically, and at scale through frameworks, tooling and automation.

About the Role

The infrastructure cybersecurity engineering team is responsible for building, deploying and operating security tooling, as well as providing consulting to service teams. Inherent to the role is an ability to develop using industry standard languages. Innovation and creativity are heavily emphasized upon and encouraged at Workday to combat an ever evolving threat landscape. The tools, processes and standards developed by the team are a critical part of the threat defense capabilities of Workday. Having an infrastructure presence in both public and private clouds, the team is repeatedly challenged in new ways to improve existing toolchains and build new ones. Candidates for this role should have an analytical and problem solving approach, capability to learn new skills, comfortable with accepting feedback and able to work well with a team.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
