Full Job Description
Principal Associate - Product Onboarding Program

We are looking for a talented individual to lead our Product Onboarding Program. As a member of the Product College team, the Principal Associate will be responsible for partnering closely with key business partners in Capital One’s Product organizations to deliver practical and immersive learning experiences. This role will coordinate the delivery of self-paced and cohort programmatic experiences, both in-person and virtually, to meet Product associates where they are and get them where they need to be within their first 90 days at Capital One. This role will partner closely with the leaders, instructional designers, Product associates, and other stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class program.

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Has excellent project management skills; autonomously drives projects, logistics and strategy forward using sound judgment and critical thinking.

  • Has experience delivering dynamic immersive learning experiences, with a particular focus on cohort learning and program execution.

  • Dynamically adapts their communication style across verbal and written channels (e.g., Slack, email) to keep participants, facilitators, and executives engaged and apprised of important details.

  • Has a consultative skill set and builds trust-based relationships to partner effectively with a wide range of clients, senior leaders and subject matter experts.

  • Is highly data-driven and detail-oriented, with a keen ability to organize, synthesize, and analyze data to measure impact and drive continuous program improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end program ownership: Own the day-to-day execution, annual strategy, and iteration of the Product Onboarding program within Product College. Ensure a high-quality, associate-centric experience across the first 90 days for new-to-Capital One Product Managers (SA–SM levels) and internal transfers moving into Product.

  • Stakeholder & speaker management: Identify, brief, and seamlessly integrate executive product speakers, SMEs, and facilitators into the onboarding curriculum to ensure high-impact delivery. Maintain strong relationships with the Accountable Executive and key stakeholders to achieve the program's vision and adjust course based on internal and industry shifts.

  • Data-driven continuous improvement: Analyze pre and post-session surveys and conduct comprehensive retrospective meetings after each cohort to identify themes and measure impact. Coordinate with necessary partners, including data teams, consultants, and instructional designers, to implement systemic, data-backed curriculum enhancements.

  • Operations & budget integrity: Manage program budgets, track learner data and distribution lists, and coordinate the complex virtual and in-person logistics required to scale the program smoothly across multiple locations.

  • Live session production: Act as a host and producer for learners during live learning sessions, managing immediate logistics such as facilitator preparedness, Zoom recordings, attendance tracking, and materials archiving.

  • Program advocacy & communication: Manage all ongoing program communications (formal and informal) via Slack and email. Drive awareness and marketing efforts for the program within the broader Capital One product community and across other internal onboarding teams.

  • Process excellence: Work on individual and team initiatives to design, build, and implement new scalable processes that ensure efficient, reliable, and resilient program delivery.
