Key responsibilities include:
- Working full-time (32-40 hours) as part of an experienced, supportive care team.
- Independently performing comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and treatment planning for complex acute, critical, and chronic conditions.
- Maintaining and reviewing patient records, charts, and pertinent information.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic and therapeutic tests tailored to patients' age-specific needs.
- Prescribing appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members and making appropriate referrals.
- Educating patients and families on medications, treatments, health maintenance, and illness prevention.
- Providing patient education on community resources to address long-term health needs.
- Demonstrating a desire to grow with the practice and actively contributing to its success.
- Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school.
- Licensed in Oregon as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Medical Doctor (MD).
- Board certified by the relevant specialty board.
- Current CPR certification as per American Heart Association guidelines.
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in a clinical setting, with at least two years of clinical patient care experience.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including electronic medical records (Centricity experience is a plus).
- Solid understanding of standard care practices for common chronic health conditions, health promotion, and prevention guidelines.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment.
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
