Primary Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician AssistantEmployment Type: Full Time

About the Role:We are seeking an experienced
Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our
Pediatric Primary Care team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive, relationship-based care to children and adolescents through preventive care, well-child visits, acute illness management, and ongoing management of common pediatric conditions.
Providers will build long-term relationships with patients and families while supporting continuity of care through developmental screenings, immunizations, chronic condition management, patient education, and appropriate follow-up.
This position is clinic-based, allowing Providers to establish continuity with their patients and become a trusted healthcare partner for children and families.
As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), this role could include:- Provide comprehensive pediatric care from infancy through adolescence.
- Perform well-child visits, annual wellness exams, and age-appropriate physical examinations.
- Conduct developmental, behavioral, growth, nutrition, and preventive health screenings.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common pediatric illnesses and conditions appropriate for the primary care setting.
- Manage common chronic pediatric conditions, including asthma, ADHD, allergies, eczema, obesity, and other ongoing health needs.
- Provide and manage routine immunizations and age-appropriate anticipatory guidance.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on appropriate laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic testing.
- Manage prescriptions, medication refills, referrals, test results, and ongoing follow-up needs.
- Educate patients, parents, and caregivers on health, development, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Maintain compliance with applicable clinical, HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA requirements.
Provider Qualifications:Nurse Practitioners- Current, valid, and unencumbered Texas RN/APRN licensure.
- Active national certification as a PNP or FNP from a certifying body recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
Physician Assistants- Current, valid Texas Physician Assistant license.
- Active NCCPA certification.
All Providers- Minimum 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Pediatric clinical experience strongly preferred.
- Pediatric primary care, family medicine, or other outpatient pediatric experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with well-child care, preventive health, developmental assessments, and routine pediatric care preferred.
- Experience managing common pediatric acute and chronic conditions.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- PALS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and care-management skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with patients and families and support continuity of care.
- Excellent patient, family, and team communication skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable clinical requirements.
Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish
