Job Summary:

Compensation: $111,700 - $158,611

The Pricing Manager will lead the development, execution, and governance of pricing strategies across IDI's business. This role is responsible for optimizing margin, driving price discipline, managing the pricing operations team, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The Pricing Manager will partner closely with Sales and Finance to implement scalable pricing frameworks, improve margins, and increase market share.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Pricing Strategy & Governance:
    • Develop and execute enterprise pricing strategy aligned with margin and growth goals
    • Define pricing guardrails, policies, and workflows across customer segments and products
    • Manage the pricing operations team and ensure that SAP pricing is accurate and updated
    • Lead price increase processes, including timing, segmentation, and communication
  • Sales Enablement & Execution:
    • Partner with Sales leadership to drive adoption of pricing strategies and tools
    • Support key customer negotiations with data-backed pricing recommendations
    • Develop training programs and materials to improve pricing capabilities
    • Monitor adherence to pricing policies and escalate exceptions as needed
  • Analytics & Insights:
    • Build and manage pricing analytics: margin waterfall, price realization, and variance analysis
    • Develop customer and product segmentation models to inform pricing decisions
    • Identify margin leakage and pricing opportunities through transaction-level analysis
  • Process Improvement and Documentation:
    • Document pricing processes, methodologies, and governance frameworks
    • Continuously streamline and automate pricing and costing processes
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement in pricing workflows and systems

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Understanding of distribution, building materials, or insulation markets preferred
    • Knowledge of customer dynamics, competitive pricing environments, and cost drivers
    • Experience with AI enabled pricing tools and analytics
  • Communication Skills:
    • Skilled at presenting insights and recommendations to executive audiences
    • Ability to guide discussions with cross-functional stakeholders, particularly Sales leadership
  • Pricing & Analytical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, margin management, and commercial analytics
    • Experience with segmentation, elasticity concepts, and price optimization approaches


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 5-8+ years of experience in pricing, FP&A, analytics, or commercial finance
  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or building materials preferred
