OverviewThe President is responsible for providing strategic leadership to JCM Industries by working with the CEO, Executives and Directors and other management to establish and implement long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. The President is responsible for overseeing JCM Industries operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are aligned with the short-term and long-term objectives of the company.
Essential Duties- Develop a strategic plan to advance the manufacturing company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization. Assure the implementation of strategic plans that meet future growth and acquisition needs of the organization.
- Provide the manufacturing company with the vision and leadership to carry out its mission and overall direction.
- Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for the manufacturing company.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Management team to ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization.
- Constant and continuous focus on effective succession planning for the company to assure that the right talent is developed to handle personnel changes and organization evolution. Evaluate, advise and lead on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory actions as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of employees.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organization; create and promote a positive, multicultural work environment that supports consistency throughout the organization's strategy, operational methods, and data collection needs.
- Approve operational procedures, policies, and standards through interactive processes with A.Y. McDonald Industries shared resources such as finance, HR, marketing, purchasing, and Information Technology.
- Evaluate performance of the Management team for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.
- Oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance, competitive rewards programs and effective talent retention and attraction strategies.
- Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, and new industry developments and standards.
Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree from four-year College or University plus 15 to 20 years of overall professional management experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
