Description & Requirements

THIS ROLE IS TEMPORARY FULL TIME EMPLOYMNET.

As a Presentation Software Engineer , you will develop and support the core technologies that bring our game's storytelling and broadcast presentation to life. You will collaborate closely with Designers, Animators, Artists, and fellow Engineers to build innovative presentation features, authoring tools, and robust workflows for systems including dynamic cameras, character choreography, replays, and broadcast overlays. You will own presentation systems across all development phases-from architectural design and implementation to profiling, debugging, optimization, and multi-platform release.

Your Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Designers, Animators, Artists, and Engineers to develop immersive presentation features and authentic broadcast experiences.
  • Design and implement robust runtime architectures for dynamic cameras, cinematic sequences, transitions, and broadcast overlays.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams on requirements analysis, technical design, and documentation for presentation features.
  • Profile, debug, and optimize presentation features across multiple platforms to ensure high performance within memory, CPU, and GPU budgets.
  • Leverage both internal and external technologies within the Frostbite ecosystem to improve content workflows and team efficiencies.


Your Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional software or game development experience, preferably within large, multiplatform codebases.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ with a solid foundation in object-oriented design, data structures, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging production-level software or game engine systems.
  • Experience with scripting or managed languages (e.g., Python, C#, Lua) for tooling and automation is a plus.
  • Experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g. coding agents) to rapid prototype, accelerate execution and automate workflows, with the ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code.
  • Understanding of memory management, multithreading, and runtime optimization.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside technical and non-technical peers.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD
