Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Pre-Owned Sales Manager to drive the strategic evaluation, complex deal structuring, and end-to-end sales lifecycle for our pre-owned and trade-in aircraft portfolio. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, you will play a high-impact role in structuring trade-ins and leasing arrangements that directly enable new helicopter sales across the region. Your Challenges:
Trade-In Evaluation & Deal Structuring 50%
Cultivate and enhance strategic partnerships within the third-party reseller ecosystem, overseeing the selection process and optimizing the network size as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners to ensure the proactive and profitable management of trade-in aircraft assets.
Evaluate potential trade-in aircraft to support and facilitate new helicopter sales.
Advise on leasing arrangements necessary to close new aircraft sales; calculate and negotiate residual values for lease structures.
Oversee and manage owned, internal, and lease-back aircraft arrangements.
Prepare and present required Gate Reviews to support the disposition of used aircraft.
Used & Inventory Aircraft Sales Management 20%
Take direct responsibility for selling Airbus Helicopters (AHI) used aircraft, driving the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to closing.
Maintain up-to-date weekly prospect summaries and active sales pipeline reporting.
Oversee used aircraft held in inventory, ensuring non-operational inventory is maintained and positioned for resale.
Assist key clients with the disposition of used aircraft, even when not directly linked to a new helicopter sale, to maintain strong strategic relationships.
Technical Coordination, Cost Tracking & Governance 20%
Oversee and coordinate all required aircraft maintenance, including maintenance tracking and readiness protocols.
Initiate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) procedures for work performed and execute strict cost tracking on all aircraft preparation and maintenance.
Deliver standardized reports and updates to the central Airbus Helicopters Asset Management team to maintain seamless cross-functional communication.
Actively build and mentor a strong bench of talent within the Asset Management division.
Transaction Execution & Due Diligence 10%
Manage used aircraft trade-ins through every phase of the transaction: initial evaluation, due diligence, advertising, marketing, and final transaction closing.
Ensure all inventory and trade-in aircraft are maintained in peak, ready-for-sale condition for client viewings and demonstrations.
Your Boarding Pass: (Required for consideration)
BS Degree in Marketing, Management, Business or equivalent experience (4 years)
10 or more years of applicable experience, with a combination of operations, sales and marketing activities
Maintain excellent customer service and AHI interdepartmental relationships
Ability to read and interpret various types of technical data, including flight manuals, performance charts and aircraft configuration data.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools and Sales Force
Preferred Skills:
Commercial rotorcraft helicopter pilot license and/or A&P License
5 + years of experience in the helicopter industry or similar industry with complex sales solutions
10 + years of proven supervisory and/or management experience
Aircraft Financial Modeling & Residual Value Forecasting (Highly Preferred)
Travel Required:
30% - 40% Domestic and International
Citizenship:
Authorized to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
Physical Requirements:
Onsite or remote: Must be onsite in Grand Prairie, TX at least 60-70% of the time to work with sales/marketing/flight ops teams
Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment.
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving or in a/c storage compartments.
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices and for long periods during trade shows.
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
Climbing: able to climb stairs to reach helipads; able to climb on and off of an aircraft.
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
