Responsibilities The Practice Manager is Responsible for daily operations management and supervision of assigned practice(s) in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Qualifications - The practice manager will maintain regulatory complianceand is responsible for maintenance of licenses/certifications, primary source validation, proper credentialing with health system medical staff office and payers.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (CBO, marketing, quality team, business development, finance, A/P, payroll, human resources, c-suite, facilities, vendors, corporate and local administration) to ensure effective and efficient practice operations.
- Practice manager will be the primary practice liaison to internal and external stakeholders. Manages departmental expenses cost effectively, monitors revenue cycle operations, volume, and revenue generation to ensure practice budgets are met and provider subsidies are kept to a minimum.
- Participates in annual operating and capital budgeting and provider and employee recruitment and onboarding.
- Demonstrates service excellence, conveys professionalism, and always maintain appropriate confidentiality. Other duties as assigned.
Education:• Bachelor's Degree required.
• In lieu of degree, 5-7 years healthcare experience with at least two (2) years being in a supervisor capacity.
• CMPE certification preferred
Work experience:• 3-5 years supervisory experience, preferable in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge:• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, EMR systems Medical and billing terminology and revenue cycle operations

Practice management/Operations
• Management of all practice activities including: patient scheduling, registration, financial counseling, medical records, billing and collection, data entry and processing, cash posting, clinic certifications and licenses, required education, inventory and resource utilization.
• Ensure smooth, accurate, efficient, safe, high quality, compliant, productive operations of assigned medical practices in accordance with state, federal and local regulations, and requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain office policies and procedures. Uphold IPM and UHS policies, goals, and standards.
• Facilitate consistent and productive formal and informal communication and practice rounding with all practice personnel, including providers. • Ensures accurate front-end revenue cycle operations.
• Ensure adequate practice staffing and composes monthly practice schedules.
• Reviews practice related reports: patient satisfaction, quality dashboards, revenue cycle reports, productivity dashboards, P&Ls, etc.
• Collects data, prepares reports and analyzes practice statistics.
• Emphasizes high quality patient care. • Champions IPM and market initiatives.
• Resolves issues regarding staffing, office space, equipment, and supplies.
• Participates in supply chain cycle (ordering, pre-approval, check request, A/P).
• Support and promote providers revenue generating activities. Implement and support provider marketing and action planning around practice volume increases.
• Collaborates with EMR specialists to improve usage and workflow with templates, schedules, EMR and dictation software.
• Serves a primary liaison for all internal and external stakeholders fosters a collaborative work environment.

Financial knowledge and cost-effective leadership
• Monitors overhead expense and works with providers and clinic staff to continuously improve expenses, maintain a lean operation model, and minimize provider subsidy.
• Monitors A/R and revenue cycle dashboards for assigned practices and takes necessary steps to achieve/exceed goals.
• Action planning for operational budget variances.
• Adequately staffs and adjusts staffing ratios to volume.
• Participates in annual operating and capital budget preparation for assigned practices.
• Works with front-end team to reduce first pass denials, secures eligibility, referrals, and capture of point of service cash.
• Able to answer basic provider statistical questions on individual and practice volume and 10% billing stats.
Oversight of daily cash collection through reconciliation, deposit and documentation of deposit process.
• Works with providers to ensure encounters and charts closed in a timely fashion.
