Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking an exceptional and motivated Senior Project Manager/Practice Builder to elevate and expand our Surface Water/Drainage practice in Tampa, FL!

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in business development, nurturing client relationships, and overseeing project tasks while fostering the growth of junior staff. This position offers substantial autonomy to lead, innovate, and grow your practice.

Responsibilities
  • Spearheading business development efforts to expand our Surface Water practice.
  • Cultivating and maintaining robust relationships with key clients.
  • Leading the execution of project tasks including AutoCAD, GIS, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater planning, storm drain, and BMP design.
  • Demonstrating a passion for resiliency and sustainable infrastructure engineering.
  • Ensuring projects are managed profitably and efficiently, transitioning work to qualified staff, and mentoring a growing team.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of Civil Engineering and drainage design experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, area counties, water management authorities and local, regional, state agencies
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
  • Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
