Power BI Developer

We are hiring for a Power BI Developer opportunity. Role: Power BI Developer Location: Remote Position: 1 Work Arrangement: Remote Active Public Trust Clearance required. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to support modernization and reporting initiatives for the National Data Bank (NDB), USDA FNA's ad hoc analytics and reporting system. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and canned reports, working with Azure services, SQL Server, data integration, and data warehousing. This role also involves developing new data elements and queries, supporting data sharing across platforms, and maintaining reporting solutions through Agile development processes. Required Skills - Strong hands on experience with Power BI development, including dashboards, reports, and DAX. - Experience with Azure services and data integration. - Strong SQL Server and ad hoc query development skills. - Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Ability to develop, test, maintain, and enhance Power BI reporting solutions. Preferred Skills - Experience supporting modernization and reporting initiatives using Power BI and Azure. - Experience integrating and sharing data across multiple reporting and enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and canned reports for the National Data Bank (NDB). - Develop new data elements, queries, and reporting capabilities. - Support Azure based data integration and reporting solutions. - Enable data sharing with platforms and tools such as Tableau, CRM, and SAS. - Develop and test NDB Power BI reports in two week sprint cycles. - Participate in peer code reviews and follow established development standards. - Use FNA Enterprise GitHub for source code management. - Support GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines. - Troubleshoot and resolve defects in existing live systems. - Implement reporting enhancements and support ongoing maintenance activities. Expected Deliverables - Four quarterly software releases. - Version Description Document for each quarterly production release. - Fully commented source code delivered within three business days of each production release. Education Requirement College equivalent education or experience is preferred.
