POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE

New York University Tandon School of Engineering

Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

The Bui Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Associate to join a new research program centered around the development of scalable electrochemical systems for sustainable chemical synthesis, resource recovery, and wastewater valorization.

Responsibilities

Candidates will be responsible for:

  • conducting research in electrochemical reaction engineering, including experimental design and execution
  • providing continuum modeling of electrochemical systems
  • developing automated workflows for accelerated discovery and optimization of electrochemical reactions and reactor architectures.
  • participating in research in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment
  • Willing to engage in both computational and experimental workflows.


Salary range

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $78,000 - $85,000 depending on the candidate's experience and qualification.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Applied Physics/Math, or a related field. We welcome applicants with recent PhDs and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training.

The successful candiate should have a demonstrated background in reaction engineering, electrochemistry, catalysis, separations, modeling of electrochemical systems, and/or machine learning as exemplified by a strong publication record.

Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
