The Role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join the Portfolio Specialist Team supporting the Eaton Vance Equity platform. This role combines investment communications, product support, and client engagement responsibilities across Eaton Vance Equity and the Atlanta Capital investment platform.

Working closely with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, and senior Portfolio Specialists, this individual will help develop investment messaging, create client-facing materials, support product positioning, and participate in institutional client meetings, consultant discussions, and Financial Advisor engagements.

The role is designed to provide broad exposure to the investment platform while developing the technical expertise, product knowledge, and client communication skills necessary to become an increasingly valuable member of the Portfolio Specialist Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, and Portfolio Specialists to develop and maintain investment presentations, portfolio commentaries, market updates, white papers, talking points, and other client-facing materials.
  • Translate complex investment ideas, portfolio positioning, and market developments into clear and compelling communications for institutional and intermediary audiences.
  • Develop investment content supporting the Eaton Vance Equity platform, including Atlanta Capital investment strategies.
  • Participate alongside senior Portfolio Specialists in institutional client meetings, consultant due diligence meetings, and prospect presentations.
  • Participate in Financial Advisor meetings supporting Atlanta Capital Funds and other Eaton Vance Equity investment strategies.
  • Assist in responding to client, consultant, and distribution partner requests, including due diligence questionnaires, requests for information, and investment commentary.
  • Support product positioning through competitive analysis, market research, and monitoring of industry trends.
  • Maintain centralized investment content and ensure all materials remain timely, accurate, compliant, and consistent across client channels.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Client Service, Compliance, and Distribution to coordinate investment communications and product initiatives.
  • Monitor portfolio activity, earnings developments, and market events to ensure Portfolio Specialists have current and relevant messaging.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and technology to improve content creation, workflow efficiency, and knowledge management across the Portfolio Specialist Team.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the Portfolio Specialist Team and improve the client experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CFA designation (or progress toward the CFA Program) preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in investment communications, portfolio specialist support, institutional marketing, product strategy, equity research, client service, or a related investment role.
  • Active Series 7 and 63 or ability to obtain with 6 months
  • Strong understanding of equity markets, portfolio construction, investment performance, and attribution.
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across investment professionals, product management, marketing, compliance, and distribution teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Envestnet, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, and AI-enabled productivity tools is preferred.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $145,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
