Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality mental healthcare in outpatient settings, both in-person and virtually
  • Engage with patients to collaboratively establish treatment plans
  • Conduct initial interviews and screenings to formulate diagnoses
  • Document patient interactions and care in electronic health records
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for patient care needs
  • Work with community partners to ensure patient safety and access to services
  • Continuously improve access to mental healthcare for underserved communities

Qualifications:

You are a board-certified PMHNP who is passionate about working with the underserved population who may be experiencing significant barriers to care. You are comfortable providing care both in person and virtually, and you want to grow a practice where you and your patients work together to decide the best course of treatment in achieving their goals in an outpatient setting.

  • Mission focused and passionate about improving access to quality mental healthcare.
  • Proactive and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Willing and able to see patients ages 5 and up.
  • Two years of PMHNP experience.
  • Trauma informed and competent in the provision of integrated behavioral healthcare.
  • Comfortable working independently in a group setting while also seeking support and consultation from colleagues.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of DSM-5-TR and utilize initial interview and screenings to provide diagnoses and care planning.
  • Collaborates with patients and effectively communicates clinical impressions while assessing strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs.
  • Current valid license to practice in the State of Texas.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety if a patient needs a higher level of care.
  • Participate in after hours on call rotation 1-2 times a year.
  • Possess computer/technology skills to efficiently document within an electronic health record and conduct tele-medicine visits, as well as communicating/meeting with colleagues virtually.
